Week eighteen Antwerp trip

with this trip, I tasked myself to draw what I want but with this task, I also took no camera. I decided on this idea because then I would have to draw from observational to get the image or try to draw from memory. With this idea of overall it did work because it helped me develop my speed from drawing from observational and it makes me now want to do this kind of activity again.

With the techniques that I used my brush pen with my water pen so that I could do shading with the ink. But with this technique I had a problem which  was when it was a rainy day the ink spread to another pages, so I used pencil instead which was much better against the rain. But with the ink spreading onto another page, I used it to my advantage and used it to add shading to the image. So what I learned is that I can use mistakes to my advantage.

What I enjoyed about this trip was drawing a range of subjects from buildings to animals. I wanted to do these range of things to help improve my understand of depth, layout and having an observational eye.

This trip basically helped me understand what I can do as an illustrator when it comes to visual recording and how I can help myself improves my observational skills.
