personal work

Over this project I have done some of my own personal work by join life drawing classes or drawing in my free time from observation. I have been practicing with the techniques that I want to improves such as fine liner and ink but I have also tried to practice with my photoshop skills by using photos to understand lighting and shading in a image.

Overall I learned a lot from this experience which helped me discovered what I want to do as my final major project but also it has developed me as an artist to understand observational drawing as a whole.

Here are my pieces of work.

First my examples of practicing skin colour on photoshop

Example one
I found the photo on google search engine

Example two
This is a photo of a youtuber that I like Markiplier

Some sketches that I have done observational in my personal time

The sketches from my extra life drawing classes

Week nineteen and twenty

With these we were given the task in watching movies and our model would recreate the pose from the movie to create the idea of movement in my drawings. This is called gesture narrative illustration. With these sketches we are only given five or less minutes to create a pose which makes it more of a task to do and it has been a hard task to adapt but it has been fun to adept.

With the these weeks. The first film described a story about someone trying to escape and the second week was a film about characters scarred of heights . The model recreated the posed in the drawing studio. When recreating these poses I used materials that I do not normal use, such as watercolours, which was something interesting to use because I could use it to express tonal which was great to use to create quick sketches but overall the paper quality which I will need to improve when create my artwork.

With the second week, was a horror film in which the was the mummy. In which the model recreating the poses of the monster and the victim and I had to illustrate the poses to express the movement, so what I did I made the monster red and the victim blue. I also focused on the idea of shading and this helped effect my pose by giving it an atmosphere and emphasis horror aspect.
